HI Doc, My Brother in law is having rashes on his thigh and hands after a mosquito bite. It stays for about 2 hours and then reduces when the itching reduces. This is the first time he is coming across this situation. So i also have attached few pictures of the rashes. These rashes are there only on hands and tighs and not any where else in the body and they are itchyy. when he scratches them they become more . What is the underlying problem. is this any kind of skin allergy or food allergy? Please suggest some medication for this so that he can have relife. Thank you Doc

The symptoms can be related to an allergic reaction. I suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. I also suggest using a steroid cream for local application such as Betametasone cream. If the symptoms continue, you should do the allergy tests for further evaluation.
Kind regards!
