Suggest Treatment For Itchy Red Rash On The Ankle And Stomach
My son has had a rash for over a week now. It started as a pin prick dot and as the days go by they are getting bigger by the day. Itchy red and sore to touch. The rash is on soles of feet top of ankle and by the ankle bone fronts and backs of legs bottom grone area front of tummy and back under arm pits arms and wrists.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy red rash on the ankle and stomach. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like chickenpox , contact dermatitis , darier disease , discoid eczema , erythema nodosum or heat rash . I would suggest you to apply cold compresses to rashes , apply petroleum jelly , protect them from sun exposure and take anti histamine like benadryl twice a day . If condition does not get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with corticosteroid ointment and antibiotics .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
