Suggest Treatment For Itchy Red Spots Under Armpits, Back And Chest

Hi, I m having a few itchy red spots under arm pits, back and chest. They get more itchy with scratching. Now I have the itchy sensation on my penis and groin area. I feel more and more itchy. it feels good after itching but comes back even stronger after 10 seconds or so. Then gets better if left alone with just a slight itchy sensation persisting. Please tell me how can I get rid of this? Sarab

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red spots under armpits, back and chest which occurs due to allergic reaction, eczema, contact dermatitis and hair follicle infection and bacterial infection which is leading to folliculitis. It could be due to fungal infection as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to wash these areas daily with lukewarm water and body wash containing salicylic acid twice a day. You should wear loose clothes and avoid sharing clothes. avoid touching or pricking these spots. You should maintain complete hygiene of that area. Take painkiller such as Ibuprofen. Apply topical antibacterial ointment. Take diet rich in multivitamins. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocycline, and steroid ointment.
