Suggest Treatment For Itchy Scalp

Lately I have been having trouble with my scalp itching even though I just got through taking a shower and washing my hair. I have used dandruff shampoos like Seltzin Blue and others that are suppose to help dry scalp . I don t have dandruff but my scalp just itches.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain itching of scalp can occur due to causes like Seborrheic dermatitis while can also be due to excess dryness in scalp, head lice, poor maintenance of cleanliness etc..

I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised to massage the scalp with steroid lotion..
You can also be advised to apply shampoo containing Ketoconazole, coal tar, zinc, selenium, sulfide etc..
Massage the scalp with warm coconut oil..
Keep the scalp clean..
You can also take levocetrizine if itching is severe..
Drink plenty of water..
