Jaundice reading earlier was 4.6 now it is 9.1 sgot and sgpt levels were 1550-1500 now it s has gone down to 1236-1234. He has not taken a poop for the Last 3 days This looks to be viral hepatitis and not passing stool for 3 days can trigger a problem of the hepatic encephalopathy if the large bowel is not evacuated. I would advise you the following: Immediately take him to the hospital and ask for saline-soap enema to evacuate the whole colon. You may then continue with laxatives like Cremaffin plus or so. Continue treatment for hepatitis and have regular review of the situation under the care of your Doctor and take an opinion of a Gastroenterologist also.
