Suggest Treatment For Jaw Pain And Presence Of Water In The Ear

Let me go back a couple of weeks to start. I went for my regular dental check-up and x-rays showed no problems and I had had none. I had had prior sinus/ water behind my ear drum. A couple of days ago I started experiencing jaw pain top and bottom on my right side. Also had stuffy head and nose on that side. The pain gets pretty severe at times. I am taking Levafloxin and over the counter Allegra as well as Ibuprophen. My dilemma is I don t know whether to go back to my Dr or my dentist.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It looks like you got middle ear infection couple of weeks before which now has extended to your nose and sinuses(as there is a tube connecting your ear and back of nose). You need to consult ENT doctor or Physician. There's no need to consult a dentist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammad Zeeshan Akram
