General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there

As you know, the skin complaint you have is a type of yeast infection. This infection is common in areas that are moist ie skin folds, it is also a recurring problem in people with a lower immune response, such as diabetics. To prevent this from recurring keep the area dry at all times especially after showering, wear loose fitting cotton underwear and do not share under garments. You can apply a topical anti-fungal i.e Clotrimazole if you feel as through the rash is recurring to prevent it from progressing. Do visit your doctor to screen for diabetes. Lastly consider trying a trial of oral probiotics. Hope this helps.
