Hello,
You have history of
Sarcoidosis. Now you are experiencing joint pain in your arms, wrists, ankles, etc.
Chronic arthritis in sarcoidosis patients typically affects the ankles, feet, knees, wrists, or hands. You should inform your treating doctor about your symptoms, so that you can get a follow - up clinical examination. If needed the medicines can be replaced by some that suits you better.
Your symptoms are indicative of Sarcoid arthropathy. Get X-ray and
MRI done to detect arthritis. Plain radiographs show articular erosions and mild joint space narrowing. While MRI shows strong clinical suspicion of sarcoid arthropathy. Once diagnosed, you will be treated with NSAIDS,
steroids,
methotrexate, etc. Avoid stressful lifestyle & stay away from addictions if any. Take quality sleep & include anti inflammatory food in your regular diet. Take medicines after getting diagnosed by the treating doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
