my huwsband has been diagnosed with keratoconus a few years ago he is legally blind in both eyes do to rubbing and pullin mucus out of his eyes every 2 minutes is there any home remedy to help with this its frustrating to him glasses and lenses dont work at all we are lost and dont know what else to do
Hello It seems from the history that your husband is diagnosed with keratoconus. Since his vision appears to be decreased with legal blindness the keratoconus appears to be advanced. The treatment is by corneal collagen cross linking or intracorneal ring segments. The mucus stings in the eye may indicate associated allergic conjunctivitis and treatment is by use of anti allergic eye drops. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
