Hi,
I understand your concern.
- Ketones detection suggests use of fat reserve in body for energy production. Once detected the condition can be prevented / treated by-
*Avoiding Starvation( having small & frequent servings of food./ long term vomiting,/anorexia.must be treated well.
* metabolic disease like diabetes- should be investigated for & managed as per doctor's advice.
- As for your concern about past history of pre eclampsia in your daughter's case- Ketone bodies in urine do not suggest anything specific for the condition. She has to be watched for any untoward sign as swelling legs, raised blood pressure/urinary complaints, albumin in urine.
Early detection & treatment form the core of pre eclampsia prevention.
Thanks.
