General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history of having a 1.4 X 4 cm stone in kidney, 1+ cm
stone in galbladder, mild COPD, had heart attack with a stent 3 years ago, wants to know whether both can be operated at the same time to avoid pain twice and complications.
First of all you will have to undergo fitness for anesthesia and surgery by a Pulmonologist and a Cardiologist.
Both the surgeries are not possible as bot are situated at different areas, their surgical approach is different, both are major surgeries hence will need utmost care.
Since Laparoscopy is being done the pain will be minimal for gallbladder removal.
Once you come out of the gallbladder surgery, recover well the Urologist will take over for the kidney stone whihc is a long stone and the approach depends upon the site, whether impacted or not and so on.
Go by the advise of your Doctors.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
