Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My friend has a kidney stone...she is under a doctor s care. She s had an Infection, treated with antibiotics, and stent put near stone. The stone will be addressed later. She told me today that she is still not feeling well and seems to have some fecal matter existing from Vaginal area. Is that possible?
It is possible if a fistula has developed. Fistulas are passages that can develop between two hollow organs, in this case, part of the intestines and part of the urinary tract.
These types can cause urine to exit via the anal canal and/or stool via the urethra.
It would be best for her to be seen by her doctor so that she can be assessed. She would likely need to see an urologist or general surgeon.
Imaging may be needed.
I hope this helps
