Hi,

Kidney stones can cause a variety of symptoms, including abdominal swelling, nausea, and pain. If the stones are large enough to cause kidney enlargement, it is important to seek prompt medical attention to prevent further complications.

The treatment for kidney stones depends on the size, location, and number of stones, as well as the severity of symptoms. Your treatment plan may include one or more of the following:
* Pain management: Medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or opioids may be prescribed to manage pain.
* Hydration: Drinking plenty of fluids, especially water, can help flush out the stones and reduce the risk of further complications. Your doctor may also recommend intravenous fluids if you are dehydrated.
* Medical therapy: Certain medications, such as alpha blockers or calcium channel blockers, may be prescribed to help relax the ureter and ease the passage of stones.
* Surgery: If the stones are too large to pass on their own or are causing severe symptoms, surgery may be necessary. This kind of treatment may include procedures like shock wave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy or percutaneous nephrolithotomy.

In addition to medical treatment, lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet, staying physically active, and avoiding dehydration can help prevent future kidney stones from forming. It is important to follow up with your doctor regularly and report any new or worsening symptoms, such as the spotting you mentioned. Depending on the severity of your symptoms, your doctor may refer you to a urologist or other specialist for further evaluation and treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
