Hello, You are having kidney stones in the left and right side of the kidney, the stones are 3mm or 4mm in size. You have been prescribed with Defcort TM. You can continue to take the medicine prescribed it will help to relax the bladder muscle and prostate. This makes stone pass in the urine faster. Take plenty of water and stay relaxed, do not take stress. It also gives relief from pain, irritation and discomfort caused by kidney stones. It works by reducing inflammation (swelling) in the kidneys to promote the passage of the stones through urine. it also works better in people with larger stones. However, you are suggested to eat lesser oxalate rich food and limit the amount of salt and animal protein in your diet. Do not take calcium supplements, you can take calcium rich food. However, when the symptoms start getting agonizing and stones become bigger, you will be recommenced by your treating doctor to get removed it by surgery. Take care.
