Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, i have been dealing with last 3 years with kidney stones. went to urologist few weeks back & confirmed have 2 adjacent 4mm in my lower left tube. which is were they have been the last few times. i had had a lyposcopy done both times. New looking into my blood tests further this time, it shows very high pth intac of 81.1. told max is 60. and very low vitamin d levels, beyond lower end of that scale. now they are referring me to an endrocronologist. what are your thoughts on this?
Would you please clarify a few things for me? -how old are you? -Have the kidney stones been tested to check for the type of stone? -do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?
I recommend : -an endocrinologist opinion -blood tests (to check for calcium, phosphorus levels, complete blood count, kidney function tests) -urine analysis -an ultrasound /CT of your neck to check for any parathyroid gland enlargement -vitamin d supplementation.
If your calcium levels are too high, it can be controlled with medications and diet modifications. If there is a growth on the gland that is causing this high levels of the hormone, it may need to be removed and treated.
Based on the above results, a treatment plan will be initiated.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Wish you good health
