Suggest Treatment For Knee Injury

In a soccer game, I slid on the turf ground and scraped up/opened up my knee. It s a topical injury, it s not deep. However, in the days after the injury, the area surrounding the cut as well as up my thigh had been hurting. My knee began to hurt internally as well. Today, I noticed that bumps or pimples starting forming up my thigh starting from where the injury is and creeping up my leg. Should I see a doctor about this? I m not sure if it requires medical attention.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
It might be soft tissue injury or fracture.
Without X-ray, it is difficult to differentiate a fracture from others. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.
In the interim, apply ice packs to the affected area,anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
