Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have knee locking which can last 10 minutes, with pain and a bit of swelling now and then, pain on outside of knee and on knee cap, and just under knee cap. What have I done to it? I walk, go to gym, have had massages. I ice it, tape it, wear braces. Any advice would be great
I can understand your concern. From your history, it can be due to subluxation of your knee cap , meaning that your knee cap slightly slid off from its usual position. It can cause immense pain, swelling and a period of restriction of movement until it slid back to its usual position. Another possibility is concerning your ligaments and cushion inside your knee joint called meniscus.
Consult a orthospecialist and evaluate your knee joint.
Hope I answered your query.
