Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain And Numbness In Feet
Two weeks ago, I woke up with pain in my back, the pain was shooting down my leg and so I was told it was my sciatic nerve. The pain in my back is gone and I no longer have shooting pain but it is painful in the back of my knee and my foot feel numb. It feels like it is asleep all the time and my little tow and the one next to is feels completely numb. I attempted acupuncture and it helped release the shooting pain but the numbness is still there. To me my foot also feels swollen which makes it hard to walk. My doctor is only doing pain meds and muscle relaxers but not that it is going on 3 weeks, I believe there is more to it. Any suggestion or direction I should be going?

HI, I understand your concern. You seem to have compression of sciatic nerve at spinal level( disc /degenerative problem). It can be diagnosed by Xray/ MRI/CT scan of lumber spine to pin point the cause. Treatme3nt should under guidance of an orthopedic surgeon. It will be in form of medicines/ physiotherapy/ spinal surgery according to imaging results. Thanks.
