General & Family Physician 's  Response
I suggest you see your local orthipaedician to do some investigation and imaging to find out the cause of knee pain like whether it is osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis or joint effusion etc.I believe perilon is a steroid called prednisone and strongly suggest that you don't take it unnecessarily without confirming the diagnosis.
For pain you can try analgesic cream like diclofenac gel or a short course of tablets like paracetamol or diclofenac but its always better to know the cause of the pain and to treat the cause rather than trying to simply reduce the pain.
