Understanding your concern. As per your query you have knee pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like Chondromalacia, Bursitis, Patellar Tendonitis, Arthritis, Osteochondritis, Ton Meniscus . I would suggest you to consult an Orthopedic surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray, CT Scan , blood tests, Electromyogram etc as per suspected cause can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly. You should take anti-inflammatory painkillers, muscle relaxants, warm or cool compresses depending upon the cause, physiotherapy to relieve and strengthen the muscles, weight loss and avoiding vigorous workout and long hours of continuous standing or sitting. In severe cases doctor may recommend surgery .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
