General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.

This condition is usually diagnosed in the first year of life and very difficult to get in adulthood.
Since the liver tests are on a higher side, there can be a sort of hepatitis of viral origin or so.
Hence I would advise her the following in such a situation:
Consult a Gastroenterologist as self-diagnosis is of no value as you would never know the real condition of the disease she is suffering from.
On examination, review of the old report he can guide you well for further investigations so that a proper diagnosis can be made. This is the most important stage of management - the proper diagnosis.
Till then she would be advised symptomatic and supportive management in the form of a PPI like Omeprazole, Domperidone for vomiting, anti-seizure medications and others as needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
