Suggest Treatment For Lack Of Appetite And Sinus Drainage In A Child
Male grandchild, 11 years old doesn t have an appetite for approximately one week, but states he fills full. He has sinus drainage that makes him feel nauseous. He also feels chilled sometimes. His first symptom was diarrhea, but that subsided. He takes Claritan for the excess mucous. He was prescribed claritan and a medicine for nausea, but he is not taking the medicine for the nausea.

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Sinus infections or presence of adenoid enlargement can give such problems. Nasal decongestant sprays, chewable vitamin C and antibiotics will be helpful in such case. You can give ginger tea to relieve nausea. If it is not relieved by this then anti emetic medication will be needed. Have a review with your doctor to assess the need of giving antibiotics.
