Suggest Treatment For Lack Of Erection In Penis

My husband and I haven't had a sexual relation for years. He cannot seem to get an erection and if he does foreplay can't even keep i up. We have tried everything. But still nothing. HE is 62 and I am 45. I feel that I'm being neglectd. He tells me he feels terriable but I am at the point I feel like I am more of a companion. In the past 6 years he has only tried once and that is it. I play around with him have tried foreplay and still nothing. In 2004 he was diagnosed with colon cancer had chemo treatments but has been cancer free for years. His sexual desires were none 3 years prior. I can honestly say we have only had sex in the past 11 years at least 4 times out of that 4 he ejaculated 3 times. What bothers me he doesn't even try foreplay on me like I do with him and when I comment on trying he has an excuse he has to do something or or he just gives me the vibe whatever. What am I to do.

This may be a stupid question but can taking a bath in extremly hot water effect him in anyway. He gets it as hot as he can stand it.

PLease help me.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query.
Based on the facts that you have posted I would say that your husband gas basically loss of libido with Erectile Dysfunction..
This could be due to multiple factors like reduced Testosterone level in blood that is common after the age of 60 years.
Second factor is psychogenic that he has cancer of colon.
Third factor is generalized atherosclerosis that involves penile artery causing reduced blood flow to penis causing ED.

You have to convince him to visit Urologist for clinical assessment and get following basic test done to find out the cause of his loss of libido.
1) Blood Sugar levels fasting and post meal to rule out diabetes.
2) Penile Doppler scan to rule out any vascular cause for his ED.

Further treatment will depend upon the results of these tests and final diagnosis.
