Suggest Treatment For Large Lump On Thigh After Falling
Hi :-) I fell off a top bunk working on a cruise ship and hit the back of my thigh really hard on the desk on the way down. I ve had a large lump there ever since an it s been about 2.5 years! Recently on a trip in Mexico, I fell in a cave and hit the same spot again, making the lump bigger. What is this big lump and how can I get rid of it? Thank you!
The lump maybe fibroid tissue (scar tissue). This forms as a result of trauma and would be greater if the trauma was severe.
It would normally decrease with time though in some persons the change can be minimal. The use of anti inflammatory pain medication may help with this recent trauma and increase in size though it would not have any effect on the older aspects. This includes medications such as ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin, cataflam.
You may need to have it surgically removed.
I hope this help
