Suggest Treatment For Large Red Bruise On The Shin Post Injury

I hit my shin in the corner of my car door at the end of July. It was bruised for couple of weeks and seemed to go away. Now, it is larger, red and warm. It does not hurt unless I touch it (press a little harder). I am concerned. Should I be? Thank you very much. Daniel.

From the history provided it seems that you have developed a skin infection over the injured site. You should visit your doctor so that he can examine the injury and provide you with the correct antibiotics.
Should it go untreated it will become an extensive infection and may reult in you being hospitalised.
