Suggest Treatment For Leakage From Navel

I had bladder reconstruction surgery as well as having my twin removed from my ovary when I was twelve years old. The growth was the size of a grapefruit hair, teeth and bones. As you would know I carried a tube for awhile until it was able to heal on it s own. Well I am sixty now.... my belly button strayed oozing a while back and now the place where the tube was is oozing and there are red lines coming out of it. Should I see a doctor?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There seems a case of umbilical granuloma which presents with persistent on & off discharge from umbilical site. A basic ultrasound evaluation is mandatory to look inside extension of the said culprit and later surgical correction of the same is must to avoid another secondary bacterial infection sequence and else.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
