5 year old male child chews his shirt, rocks, makes spitting noises with his mouth, has poor fine motor skills. He participates in class sometimes, was in a early childhood intervention program because he did not speak before age 2 1/2. He is becoming more verbal, but sometimes hard to understand. He is heavy set, is half Hispanic. He can attend to a story but has difficulty staying on task and completing work. He plays and interacts with other children sometimes. He knows all upper and lowercase letters and can think logically when following patterns or sorting, but has difficulty transferring one type of pattern to create the same pattern type with different objects. He has difficulty following more than one direction and cannot keep up if the directions change.
