Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 45 year old normal weight female and have developed left sided hip pain. I work out at Orange Theory Fitness and I increased my intensity level during November. I am also an RN. I would describe my pain as deep in the joint, worse when first standing and walking and then relieved as time goes by - for example if I have been sitting for a period of time and stand up my first few steps are very painful. I am unable to run at this time as it is very painful. Movement of the hip joint if I am non-weight bearing does not cause pain. Pain is relieved with anti-inflammatories. I have no pain in my groin area. I have done work on the foam roller to see if it improves with IT band stretching and it does not. Looking for any thoughts as to what I might have done and what to do from this point
