Suggest Treatment For Left-sided Pain In The Upper Back
I have a tight pain on the left side of my back in the upper quadrant. Like right behind the left breast or the shoulder blade area. Started on Monday night. Pain was so bad it woke me up. Happened again last night. my thoughts were: (1) stress (mother in hospital and spent last 2 weeks there with her; (2) indigestion?; (3) heart issue?
Hi Welcome It is more likely to be due to muscle spasm. You can take pain killers with muscle relaxant like Aceclofenac or Naproxen or etoricoxib with tizanidine or thiocholchicoside for 3-5 days based on the response. You can ask your local doctor for prescription of this agent. Along with this cold compression with ice packs and analgesic gel or spray to the affected area will be beneficial. Also give rest and avoid any activities that aggravates the pain. This will help you. If persists see doctor for examination and further help Take care
