Suggest Treatment For Left-sided Swelling In Neck And Muscle Spasms In Shoulders
I had a C4 and C5 bone fusion about 5yrs ago and I have swelling on my left side of my neck and shoulder from the front to the back of my neck I'm constantly in severe pain always swollen.. Muscle spasm constantly between my shoulder blades and up the back of my neck..
As per your query you are suffering from swelling of neck and muscle spasm . The probable reason for your symptoms is levator scapulae trigger points that are causing pain and also this dysfunctioning of this muscle responsible for muscle spasm . The reason for all this is the attachment of thsi muscle with C to C4 . Sometimes nerve entrapment also play role . I would suggest you to consult orthopedics surgeon or chiropractic surgeon for proper diagnosis and rule out cause like cervical spondylosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant and recommend flexibility exercises along with physiotherapy . If this treatment doesn't work the surgery will be the option.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
