Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with a B12, folic acid and magnesium deficiency and have had 2 B 12 shots and am taking prescription follicle acid and over the counter magnesium. I have a severe ache in both of my legs. I am not able to walk hardly any distance and I really suffer for it. How long will it take for me to get relief with the vitamins I am on? Also is there a over the counter drug I can take until then. I have a job standing on my feet all day and really suffer from it. I am a 63 year old female with no other health problems. Thank you
Muscle cramps can be reduced by Massaging the cramped muscle with your hands or oil Drinking plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration Stretching your leg muscles or riding a stationary cycle. Taking diet rich in calcium and potassium or oral supplements of the same Tab evion 400 mg daily may help you
Till time, avoid lifting weights, You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
