Suggest Treatment For Lethargy And Cold Sensation In An Elderly Person

My husband is 69 years old and has always been healthy and had regular checkups. His blood count is good, EKG is good, urine tested healthy however he is lethargic and has had chills lately. He had a pneumonia shot last week - they are scheduling him for a CT scan - what could it be? My email is YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Chills are usually indicative of an infection though they can occur in other less common conditions such as leukemia or lymphoma.

A CT scan can be done on any aspect of the body (brain, chest , abdomen , pelvis etc) and the area for CT would indicate that possible diagnosis that they area considering.

They may also need to do additional blood tests

I hope this helps
