Suggest Treatment For Light Bleeding After Positive Pregnancy Result
I got a positive pregnancy test result on Thursday while away visiting family 8hrs from home and returned Sunday, however when I woke on Sunday morning I had a small spotting of blood and on the way home I felt a gush of blood and have been lightly bleeding since. I have been getting what feels like cramps but without the pain since Sunday morning. I have endometriosis so periods can be quite painful as is the time of ovulation normally and I have had no pain for the last month which was the reason I took the test after being nearly 3 weeks late. Have I miscarried or could this just be another side effect of endometriosis?
Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Light bleeding or spotting (pink to brown color) during pregnancy is common, especially during the first trimester (first 3 months). Miscarriage is associated with progressive light to heavy bleeding, abdominal pain, fever and passing of tissue with bleeding. You have not such signs so there is highly unlikely to have miscarriage in your case. Endometriosis could be the cause of the bleeding. I advise you to have ultra sound of abdomen done to confirm pregnancy and development of embryo. Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care. Thank you.
