Suggest Treatment For Lightheadedness And Rapid Heart Rate

Hi, I m female, 50 years of age, and i m just not feeling right today.... a little lightheaded and I feel like my heart is beating in my lower abdomen. sounds bizarre, but that s the only way I can explain it. Yes, I smoke. Just an overall sense of something is wrong.

Hello, Thanks for the question.

What you are describing may be caused by low blood pressure, in which heart rate increases to maintain the blood flow. You should have your blood pressure measured and confirm the same. And take plenty of fluids.

Also, have you smoked in excess today than you do usually? As it may be also a cause of the symptoms described by you.

Consult your doctor if the problem persists, as a thorough history and examination may be required.
