Hi, I am 48 yrs, 150 lbs. I have lipomar on thighs and arms. Of late, when I use a 5 lb laptop, I started feeling strange burning sensation inside my right thigh, but from outside I cant make out anything. The pain suddenly starts after a while I keep the laptop on my thighs. It goes to very burning and pinching sensation and once I take the laptop off, slowly it gets normal. When I get up and walk, I dont have even a remote feeling that something happened. Do I need xrays or something?
The burning and pinching sensation is likely related to nerve related damage. This could a change in the structure and function of the nerves.
It is possible that the nerve in the area is being compressed by the laptop computer.
There are tests that can be done to check to identify the specific causes eg: (1)vitamin b12 or folate deficiency (2)liver or kidney disease (3)diabetes (4)trauma to the area (5)exposure to toxins (6)side effect of medication (7)nerve related disease- ms, stroke (8)idiopathic- cause is not known (9)infection
Blood tests can identify some of these.
I hope this helps
