Suggest Treatment For Lipschutz Lesions

My daughter was diagnosed with EBV a few weeks ago. She is recovering but also has Lipschutz lesions as a result. They have lasted for approxiamtely 4 weeks already. When can we expect it to finally heal and is there anything to put on topically to speed healing?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Lipschütz lesion or ulcer is a rare entity that presents as an acute painful vulvar ulcer in young women. Exact cause is unknown, although it is associated it with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. Healing usually occurs spontaneously within 6 weeks without any treatment.
Advise
1.     Apply betadine ointment locally thrice daily for few days
2.     Tablet ibuprofen 400 mg orally once when pain is unbearable. There is no need to take ibuprofen if pain is mild and bearable
Visit to hospital if above treatment does not provide any relief or condition worsens.
Thanks
