General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be due to acute viral hepatitis and may resolve within few days but if it's chronic hepatitis or chronic liver disease may need work up for hepatitis B and C and treatment would be accordingly. Ultrasound liver to look for any signs of cirrhosis or shrinking of liver should also be done. Meanwhile gastroenterologist review should be sought as well.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
