Hi, I recently had liver inflammation due to pro hormone workout supplements. My liver levels are all going back down to normal pretty fine on their own since I ve been off them. However my bilirubin is at a 3.8 I was told. Any way to lower the bilirubin level the itching is horrific
You can take levocetirizine at night to reduce it and apply coconut oil. Have more of caffeine. Have plentiful oral fluids and water. Keep yourself well hydrated. Avoid exertion. Rest hastens recovery. Eat raw veggies and fruits. Have high fiber, high carb and sugary diet, avoid fats, restrict proteins, avoid junk. Stay away from alcohol and smoking. Take lactulose to clear your bowels. I generally prescribe urso decholic acid to strengthen the liver.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
