Suggest Treatment For Loose Skin Over The Eyes

I have what appears to be loose skin on my eyeball that in the morning when I get up kind of folds over on my eye. No reddness, no weeping of the eye, nothing except a loose tissue. My vision in the morning is a little poorer and as the day goes on the loosness goes away and my vision is fine.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have a history of having loose skin over the eyes. Since it is affecting your vision you are suggested to get physically examined by an eyes specialist.

You may need a pair of lens, medication or surgery. It is caused due to aging, nerve problem, injury, sun exposure or a medical condition called Ptosis.

Ptosis surgery & Blepharoplasty (surgery to remove excess sagging eyelid skin). These two surgery effectively improve the vision & appearance.

Regular exercises, anti-aging cream, thermage (beauty treatment) help to tighten the skin around the eye.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
