Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Appetite And Pain Near The Navel

I have been experiencing loss of appetite and pain about 4 inches above my belly button. I have had to change my eating habits, and am eating a lot less, because the pain gets so severe as I eat, and I feel full quickly. Sometimes even when I haven t eaten. I have lost 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks. What do you think?

Hi,

I understand your concern. You seem to have gastritis (inflammation of gastric mucosa) with characteristic pain after eating. Try to eat bland & small servings (with old milk) of food 3-5 times a day.

Along with anti acidity pills like Ranitidin 2-3 times a day. Suck gelusil MPs pills three times a day. In case of no relief... you need to see a gastroenterologist to see for H. pylori infection & it's specific treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
