Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Here,we need to find out the cause for loosing blood and also will require more information regarding that.

For poor appetite he should undergo complete hemogram and liver function tests.

In COPD patents,
If he is having symptoms like cough with congestion then he may go for routine blood investigation and chest-Xray to rule out any other infective pathology of lungs.

He may require antibiotics (quinolones or cephalosporins) with bronchodilators (beta agonists like salbutamol, anticholinergics like ipra tropium bromide) to get relieved from this congestion with continuing simultaneously treatment of COPD.

So,your father consult your pulmonologist or treating physician for further follow-up treatment.
