Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Appetite, Blood Loss And COPD
my father has been losing blood and now has lost his appetite....he has copd and has had ammonia several times in the past few months....he has been in and out of hospital since November...he has been treated with several different antibiotics and the have mentioned mersa and staf....any ideas?
Here,we need to find out the cause for loosing blood and also will require more information regarding that.
For poor appetite he should undergo complete hemogram and liver function tests.
In COPD patents, If he is having symptoms like cough with congestion then he may go for routine blood investigation and chest-Xray to rule out any other infective pathology of lungs.
He may require antibiotics (quinolones or cephalosporins) with bronchodilators (beta agonists like salbutamol, anticholinergics like ipra tropium bromide) to get relieved from this congestion with continuing simultaneously treatment of COPD.
So,your father consult your pulmonologist or treating physician for further follow-up treatment.
