Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. Your friend must be having severe
brain damage due to bleed. The neurosurgeon evacuated blood and removed pressure on brain. The disadvantage with
brain injury is that permanent brain injury is irreversible damage. It does not heal that much which other organs can heal.
Now coming to your friend condition, if he moves his leg then he might be in
coma or minimal conscious state or vegetative state. It can only be confirmed after evaluating him properly. Out of all these conditions, only minimal conscious state has good prognosis. Rest two have poor prognosis. So first point which can suggest probability of recovery, is type of injury.
Few other tips which can help in recovering senses are
:
Physiotherapy of all four
limbs - You can take help of physiotherapist to learn and do physiotherapy.
: Emotional support - Talk to him daily whether he responds or not.
: Music therapy - Play soothing music like classical and make him listen
: You can give him few medications which can help in recovery like
Citicoline or Cerebrolysine after proper prescription.
: You can consult neurosurgeon regarding brain
stem cell therapy. It will be injected in him at injury area. Stem cell therapy have some established role in recovery.
Hope it will help him. Take care.
Thanks.
