Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Vision, Fatigue, Body Pain And Poor Concentration

I recently found to have MS. I was married to the love of my life for 25 years but she filed for divorce in 2015 ( I have not accepted the divorce yet). She did not feel I listened to her; however I Began having a hard time remembering everything. I have not started any medications yet because at the beginning of 2017 she will no longer carry me on her work health insurance. I had broke my back and received disability in 2013 and have Medicare insurance. I worked the same job 27 years but only draw $1800 month. I am loosing my house, wife, and ability to function. I don t want to start medication now, just to have to quit in January. Are there any medications that are affordable, that would leave me money to rent, pay utilities, insurance supplement, and help my son through college. Right now I stay so fatigued I may not be able to really wake up for 2-3 days. My doctor gave me Adderall to help with concentration and energy and it does help. I m not sure I will be able to afford this either. Are there any ideals to help me make it through the rest of my life alone. We live in her hometown. I have no real friends or family. My family was very small. I don t know what to do in January. I fall often, have vision loss in my left eye, fatigue, body pain, inability to concentrate and remember. I thought about trying to go back to work. But I know I cannot hold down a full time job. I am 52 year old male, college degree, and was a college basketball player; and liked by everyone years ago. Any advise on cheap medicines, trials, or anything to help with previously mentioned and severe depression?

Hello,

Sorry to hear about the life events which were not so pleasant. It is nice to know that you are so thoughtful about your son & wife.

However, you should not neglect your self to the extent you have been doing. You need care & urgent medical aid.

Since you have a history of MS & now you are having fatigue, body pain, weakness, vision loss(L) eye. You are falling. You need treatment.

Falling is due to Blood pressure, blood glucose or dehydration / peripheral neuropathy issues. You are also under depression.

Get physically examined, visit ER. Get a general examination along with blood & Imaging tests done. Treatment of MS will depend upon your vitals, reports & symptoms.

Get eye check-up done, maybe you need a pair of lens. For depression, you need the help of a Counselor/ Psychiatrist. You can continue to take Adderall that has been prescribed.

Take NSAIDS / Combiflam - 400mg sos, for relieve from pain. For fatigue you can take Multivitamin supplements (Zincovit / Revital) & vitamin E (Evion- 400mg) supplements after food once daily.

Physical therapy is helpful. For muscle stiffness & spasms you can take muscle relaxants (Baclofen - Lioresal), for depression you can take SSRI's.

You are suggested to take medications under a local treating doctor or a health care provider.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
