Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Voice, Difficulty In Swallowing And Choking

Two months ago I lost my voice. I was told that I had laryngitis and was treated with antibiotics for 3 weeks with no positive results. Went to see another doctor who told me that the diagnosis was wrong. That what I had was not bacterial but viral and that I should do nothing and wait until my voice came back. I am a salesman and also work as a professional interpreter, so my voice is vital for me to make a living (I am also self employed and have no protection if I get sick). My condition has been getting worse and now I even have problems in swallowing and choke very easily. My voice has practically disapeared. What should I do?
