Hello,
A few causes of low WBC counts are cancer treatment, like radiotherapy, antipsychotic medicines, medicine for an overactive thyroid, some cancers, like leukemia, infections such as hepatitis, and
autoimmune disorders, like
rheumatoid arthritis.
The causes of low
platelet count are leukemia and other cancers, some types of anemia, viral infections, such as hepatitis, chemotherapy drugs and radiation therapy, heavy alcohol consumption, pregnancy, bacteremia or bacteria in blood, thrombotic
thrombocytopenic purpura,
hemolytic uremic syndrome and certain medications.
So, treatment depends upon the cause and for that few tests are necessary. Please do consult a physician for thorough clinical examination to arrive at a specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Your WBC counts are not abnormal and RDW is normal too. So please relax and you can repeat the test after a week. If the results are abnormal, then you can consult a physician.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
