Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my husband had heart attack 2 months ago .. dr. Did enjioplasty and put th staent in the heart vain wich is blocked .. but there is the blood flow in the heart is 25 % . There is no improvement in the last 3 months after heart attack .. and he have madicin regularly .. but no improvment .. so please sagest me for this problum.. my english is not so good .. please help me
Based on the history you have shared, if the blockage is 25 percent it may resolve with medications and may not needing stent at that place but if post angiography, he is having heart function or ejection fraction on echocardiogram to be 25 percent, he will need some medicines for very long time or maybe life long to increase the heart pumping and decrease load over it.
He will need regular follow up with his cardiologist. If shortness of breath on lying down is experienced, or body swelling is seen, the urgent review may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
