General & Family Physician 's  Response
I appreciate your concern for your husband.
Low grade fever, cough and cold points to some kind of respiratory infections. IF the cough is associated with sputum or discharge, this has to be known. My advice is complete one antibiotic course for respiratory infections under guidance of your physician.
Constant dry cough can also occur due to acidity. Try some antacids like omeprazole once daily for 10 days.
Take Paracetamol thrice daily and Cetrizine twice daily for five days. If possible do warm salt water gargling to soothe his throat. Avoid spicy and fried foods.
