General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The change from 10.5 to 10.1 would not be considered significant since it is only 0.4 but it is understandable that any decrease would be upsetting to you.

At 10.1, your hemoglobin is still nearing the normal. In addition to the use of the iron supplements, the use of foods with high iron content would be recommended.

The cause of your initial low hemoglobin needs to be found to make sure that it is not involved in the decline.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
