Suggest Treatment For Low Testosterone Levels

I am 28 years old male student. I was too depressed with my daily work pressure and as a result of this I couldn t perform well in my sex drive. I visited a sexologist recently and he conducted some tests and said my testosterone hormone level is a bit low. He also asked me to go for a sperm test. My sperm count is 12 millions per ml which is very low (20 to 250 millions is the average range). To overcome this low Testosterone harmone level, he prescribed few medicines: 1. EuTrail-at (Ayurvedic tablets) twice daily, 2. Cernos gel (applying one sachet daily to shoulders), 3. Tadalafil - 10 mg tablet alternative day, 4. PACE tablets (Aceclofenac: 100 mg and paracetamol : 325 mg) alternative day, 5. paradise XR - 12.5 mg everyday evening. I used the medicine for 10 days and I am getting sore throat and dry skin. I was doubting on the side effects and cross checked all the tablets in internet about their reliability in usage with side effects. I found one important point Testosterone replacement in body using external supplements may lower the sperm count by reducing the testosterone development naturally in testicles I am worried about my sperm count as it is important for me rather than full pledged sex. I stopped using these prescribed medicines and using korean red ginseng energy, stamina and vitality tablets (one tablet in 2 days). I feel comfortable with this tablets bought in amazon as it is just energy based tablets. But i am worried about the effect on my sperm count because of the use of the tablets mentioned by sexologist. Would it really effect my sperm count. How to improve the sperm count of mine (20 millions at present) to the normal range. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Fortesta is a testosterone supplement used topically. I wonder what has been the reason for your prescription. Before answering, let me clear some of the misconceptions people use testosterone supplements for.

Testosterone therapy is not a fountain of youth. There is no proof that it will restore you to the level of physical fitness or sexual function of your youth, make you live longer, prevent heart disease or prostate cancer, or improve your memory or mental sharpness.

Do not seek therapy with these expectations in mind.

If an erectile function has been a problem, testosterone therapy might not fix it.

In fact, it might increase your sex drive but not allow you to act on it. You may also need medication or other therapy for difficulty getting or maintaining erections.

Now the Skip beats and PVC, so that needs ablative techniques. Fortesta might have triggered it for sure as it is likely to cause cardiac complains in cardiovascular history.

It should not have been used in first place with heart problems, If inevitable, should have been more follow-ups for the risk assessments.

Apart from heart problems, there is a long list of problems it can cause. At your age prostate is likely going to be fried and hypertrophied with these testosterones.

There is a reason nature has decided taper off hormones naturally with advancing age. You should not stop it cold turkey. As you have been taking it for 254 days.

That's almost a year. In this time frame, your hypothalamic-pituitary axis might have been completely off the grid. So better way would be to taper off slowly. Get your doctor to help you in this regard.

Nutshell, you should have the ablation for PVCs and get your doctor to taper this thing off slowly to avoid any adverse effects or minimize it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
