Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain And Body Aches

I have been having a pain in the lower left abdominal around my ovary section since last night. All day it has been a dull discomfort, but this evening, the pain is getting more acute and I have body aches and chills. I just took my temp and it is 97.3. I am 55 and have not had my cycle for over a year. It just stopped. What could the pain be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would like to suggest:
1. Lower Abdominal USG
2. Blood test for calcium, phosphate, alkaline phosphatase, CA-125, parathyroid hormone.
3. Blood test for Estrogen, Progesterone.

These may be due to menopause or perimenopause.
Do not worry, I am trying to figure out this only.
If there is too much ache, you can take Paracetamol.
If there is too much lower abdominal ache, you can take Dicycloverine Hydrochloride.

Post another question with test results and any doctor here can follow you up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
